The Australian CFF community expresses its great thanks to boertjies to being one of our greatest members and a fantastic manager of our NT teams over the seasons; and wishes best fortunes to him in his life.

Aurora Australis

Hi A_A

Thank you for the best wishes and sorry for going away. I did not think I would have been able to say goodbye and stop playing which is the reason for my sudden inactivity.
Earl Gatson was just taking too much of headspace and I wanted to focus on two other goals in life:
1) Doing a sub 3 Argus (Now known as the cape town cycle tour), which is the biggest timed "fun ride" in the world apparently. It is a thing for us South Africans to get a sub3 since only +- 800 people out of 26k participants get it.
2) Find a girl, get engaged etc...

Unfortunately I was only able to complete 1 of these two goals, namely 1):
Last year, I was fit enough to get a sub3 but the race was cancelled to due horrific winds (just google cape town cycle tour wind). This year the weather was perfect and I rode a 2h49 time, 12 minutes after the winners.
If this was a route on CFF, the it would probably have been classified as F^FF^HF (109km)

Still need to work on the girl, according to the forum there is many pretty girls in Australia so perhaps I should re-allocate  ;D

Great to see that you, WiC, Vos, Telamon and others are still here and active!

Good to hear from you, Dirk. Hopefully you will be active again.

I plan to start again, just don't know exactly how active I will be.
Sent a few messages to friends so hopefully we get more people on the Aussie clan.

I also posted on our most active south african bike forum:
https://www.bikehub.co.za/topic/175196-cycling-strategy-games/
Perhaps it will help if one of you also throw a comment in there.
