Maybe now we cannot enter into the room in direct mode.

You should conect and write /j #cyclingforfun

I enter some minutes ago and nobody was in the room.
Maybe people should put an hour to make a meeting, hehe.

I am wondering how I ended up becoming national team manager for the USA this year when I did not volunteer for the position.

If there is really nobody else to fill the role, I will do my best.  I did not volunteer for it this season in part because I will be traveling and thus will be unable to submit a team for at least one or two races out of the season.

If nobody applies, the NT position defaults to the top three in national rankings ABS=1st, U23=2nd, U21=3rd.  It's also possible for somebody to manage two national teams that way, for instance if the 3rd on rankings nominated for the u23 position, they could also get the u21 position by default if nobody applied (this did happen several seasons ago).

Thank you for the explanation.  I guess a partial season from me is better than having no NT manager at all.

I am in the same position as you Sentinel...I did not apply as I would have been unable to field a team the first week.

I think there was no training at 7am this morning.
Can anyone confirm there was a training ? Because if that is the case, I could have a bug.

My cyclists would have had 100% health for Liège Bastogne Liège, and are now on 98% health.

Edit: Liège was at 5am?  In that case, there's a training session missing.

Ok, count me confused about NT manager selections when no manager has nominated for a position.
At the end of last year, nobody nominated for the Ukraine u21 position, or the Switzerland u23 position.  Yet who ended up with the vacant position meets no formula I could work out.

Ukraine
*nil* CaptainOrange 12th Experience 3393
gandarias 38th Experience 1787 *ABS NT*
*u21* Ubisoft 57th Experience 2507
*nil* KapalamaCycling 2b 5th Experience 1045

Switzerland
*u23* Rekutxu 13th Experience 3393
*nil* LaFieraChurretes 24th Experience 12901
*nil* Matterhorn 48th Experience 4631
*nil* mortovia_cycling 55th Experience 8678
*nil* escusaguas 59th Experience 1305

If it was on top position, or top position that didn't nominate for another position, CaptainOrange should have gained the u21 position.  Yet, if Ubisoft got the u21 for finishing 3rd for Ukraine, then LaFieraChurretes should have gained the u23 position for Switzerland.
Then, if it was on experience points for those within Div 1, Rekutxu shouldn't have been even close to any position for Switzerland.

Count me confused on how a NT manager is selected when nobody nominates?  Or is it a manual (or random automatic) selection?

Edit: I'm told that CaptainOrange used a switch nation card this off season, so it makes sense now (he wouldn't have been eligible).  Obviously also, the NT selection criteria was changed, to avoid a repeat of when one manager had both the u23 & u21 positions (one voted in, the only vacant position).

In the Ukraine case, I know for a fact that CaptainOrange swapped nations last saturday or sunday. That was after the elections were held and NT manager positions were already filled.

Top position gets vacant NT post.

Yeah, once it became known that CaptainOrange had used a switch nations card, it now makes sense.  Oska obviously changed the rules on these automatic selections to avoid a repeat of a few seasons ago when the same manager held both the u23 & u21 positions (one elected, the other automatic).

EDIT: Btw, new rules on NT selection is that the highest ranked manager without an elected NT position will automatically be selected for a position with no nominations.

I just noticed that my 25 year old sprinter got 9th in the NT race.  Now that's cool and everything, however, looking at the results, I can't help but get an impression that maybe the script screwed up on the race.  I don't suppose the Italian tactics could have been so outstanding?
