HELPING - MENTORS

HELPING

This initiative aims to help new teams and those which are not new to find a mentor (helper) that fits both your training specialty as your language. The idea is to find a mentor from a list of qualified managers willing to help new teams. New teams, don’t be afraid to ask for help! ;)

Very often the relationship between mentor-helped lengthen in time and become friendship within the game, chat etc. There are also many cases of success in the game by "old helped" teams which are now in first division helping other teams.

Choosing a mentor is a free choice and can be done at any time of the season regardless of having played two or more seasons.  To do this, you must go to "Status" and simply click on "Helping".

Having a good mentor will provide you wise advice, solution to your doubts, tips, advice when buying and selling riders etc.

After choosing a mentor, you will be able to change him anytime, in case you change your speciality or if you need a mentor with more time to help you.

The work of mentors is free and disinterested so if a manager does not have enough time to assist you or to respond to all your requests, we ask you to be understanding and please find another manager who has enough time . Similarly, we ask patience when you receive answers to your questions because all managers have private life: P

Choosing a mentor does not mean you cannot buy/sell him riders or material. The rules of the game are clear and any "suspicious" movement will be studied and can be punished if you are cheating, as is done in other cases.

Hopefully with their help, you may get success in the game.

SELECTION OF MENTORS AND SPECIALTY

The list that appears below is a list of those first division teams which are predisposed to help other teams.

It is a list of contrasted teams with many seasons of experience in the game and in many cases they dominate all specialities,. For an easier and better selection, we have separated them by specialty.

In the specialty, you will see the discipline where they feel they have more experience and can advise you better. If in specialty appears "Cobblestone", it means that dominates everything about this specialty either cobblestone-plain, cobblestone-hills, cobblestone sprint etc. If the manager dominated only one of the disciplines of this specialty, it would appear as cobblestone-hills for example, always with the hyphen between disciplines.

And a note: these are the teams specialities. I think most, if not all, have a great knowledge on the other fields as well.

I agree with Sjiz! I put in the heading "It is a list of contrasted teams with many seasons of experience in the game and in many cases they dominate all specialities,. For an easier and better selection, we have separated them by specialty."

Than I dont see the benefits of being/receiving a helper. A new dutch team can better ask his questions on our dutch forum. Questions will be answered quicker and maybe better there.

You are right, especially with an instant reply. But....  ;D
Most new users need a clear answer. If he ask in the dutch forum he will often get many different opinions (due high activity).
Which can be confusing. A tuturial "do that! Don't do that" . Would be good :)

Going to the forum is a bigger step for many than making use of the ingame mentor-system. It's also much more personal. In my experience a good mentor can be a big influence on players staying in the game.
After the first steps of helping you can of course direct a player to the forum. :)

the mentor also hs a bit of responsabilitie, taking  a bit of care of tactics/transfermarket (if asked), what usually is not a very "happy" topic in forum.

By the way, it is true some section in the game would make it easy

Question: I am asked to help a team. Am I able to see the skills of his riders somewhere?

'Since today mentors can see the skills of the teams they are helping. '

Nice, this is helping!. Now I can see the skills.

But it would be better to see the skills of all riders on one page. (the plantilla.php page)

Updated: You can see now all the skill of all riders.
Confirm page before quit a helped team.
