147m That is with tower I think.

Himmelbjerget - Could be translated to: The mountain that touches the sky or directly Sky Moutain. But that sound more like a stripper name.

The sky mountain is part of the Middle-Jutlandia - Funen ridge.  Nobody can't say that Danes not are the most modest people  ;D

Everything is relative.  :)

As a dutchman, I totally understand the fact that 147m feels like a huge mountain.

;D @ Sky Mountain the Stripper.

STAGE 2 : HOME ADVANTAGE ?

Welcome to Melbourne8)
Very sunny and 36 degrees ; perfect for the Australian cyclists.
After the 11th place in the mountain TT of last week, now the season really starts.
Australia u23 is very motivated to score points in this race. Their manager expects a good result when the cyclists listen attentivly to his tactical instructions. And of course nothing is certain, there is wind and it is cycling.
But there are also thousends of Australian spectators, so no worries that they will perform.

The selection of Australia u23 :

Karl Janson (22) Matterhorn
Rick Thompson (22) VOXIV
Mike Foster (22) LuzGP
James Derby (22) Jimena_Cycling_Team
Lance Rooney (22) Puertollano
Hank Thomas (21) FranšaiseDesJeux
Stephen Jons (22) TeaMetal
Eric Lungby (20) Kilometervreters
David Montgomery (22) Absyntt

the selection is now complete, the last 2 cyclists are added :

# The 20yo Lungby is one of the greatest talents of Australia. Last week he was 2nd in the u21 NT race, and I m sure he will be the teamcaptain again in the u21 NT race of tomorrow. He rides the u23 NT race in Melbourne for the experience.
# The 22yo Montgomery rides for semi-experience. He is one of the best hills - and flathills-specialist of Australia u23, so maybe he can, besides gaining xp, be a good helper in the first 2 sections.

Yes, very good performance.  :)
Karl Janson had to ride in a very risky tactic, despite the wind, because he doesnt have a strong finish.
No guts , no glory, lol^^
It turned out the way I planned, his 5 in S5 was extra strong this way.

And after this very good result I will probably try to win the individual international ranking with your cyclist, Thorin.
So he could be the teamcaptain next week, despite the fact he is the number 2 on hills.
Train him well  8)

edit ; thx WiC, and you good luck in 13 minutes !
