Very good race and also a very good result (4th), AA. You for sure deserve the proud title of "Fox-successor"   :D
Good luck this season !

thx Fox, I may have been helped by the apparent fact this is the first time that race has been used (as I don't bother with storing formulas for specific races - which some other NTs supposedly do).  We'll see how the rest of the season goes.

Race 3

Selections
Abraham Chapman   maneblussers   22
Sean Filsbourne   Combuijs   22
Elgin Bird   TrailRunners   22
Eric Lungby   Kilometervreters   22
Dylan McCabe   ThorBoassonArvesen   21
Paul Walker   wingchun   21
Todd Coburn   Godojeņos   20
two more selections to come, probably TTers, but maybe look elsewhere too.

Prospects
Eric Lungby leader. Some u23 managers are proclaiming GVs claiming that their guys are better, but I'm still seeking to achieve a top 5.  Only question is whether I'll try Elgin Bird at free mode.

Results
Position   Name      Age   Time behind   Points
1st   Eric Lungby      22   0: 00"      300      Kilometervreters
14th   Elgin Bird      22   0: 29"      80      TrailRunners

380 points puts us back on the heels of the top tier, and also close to the great work done by the Aussie u21 & ABS NT managers.

Thx Vos & WiC.  I could say it was perfect tactics, but it's actually that I don't use formulas for each race, and I had estimated for the domestics to stay for three sections.  Got a bit lucky to have a domestic for the final section.  That plus I believe some others calculate GV differently (ie Belgium) and Lungby wasn't as far off as I assumed.

Race 4

Selections
Bud Sheehan   BOREAS_PRO_TEAM   22
Cody Dowden   Casualflap   22
Desmond Palmer   Polonaise   22
Franklin Blanton   lasposturas   22
Nick Hines   CC_MANICOMICOS   22
Freddie Finn   Club1906   21
Stephen Janson   Rossocrociati   20
Darvin Alpin   Guapis   19
Nate Simpson   TeamRolf   21

Prospects
Nick was star here 2 seasons ago.  But his training has taken him away from this type of race, so he mightn't even be team leader.  Despite this, I'll be seeking a top 5 result, and two cyclists in the top 10.  Possibly three in the points?

Results
Position   Name   Age   Time behind   Points
8th   Nick Hines      22   0: 24"   140      CC_MANICOMICOS
14th   Cody Dowden      22   0: 45"   80      Casualflap
15th   Bud Sheehan      22   0: 45"   70      BOREAS_PRO_TEAM

Race 5

Selections
Alex Levin   RaboRuben   22
Zack Gatson   LubaesCyclingTeam   22
Baron Morrison   TheHushovds2   21
Gus Ronnald   CyanideCN_   20
Stephen Carey   ColoTeam   20
Elvis Malone   Aurora_Australis   20
three more selections for experience.

Gary Thomas   Cachuflines   20
Todd Coburn   Godojeńos   20
Isaiah Pocock   Guapis   19

Prospects
Points?  When the top cyclist's primary skills is, well not high, why would I be thinking points?  Simply because I hope my risky tactics work, plus there's not too many great sprinters in the field (I hope).

Results
Position   Name   Age   Time behind   Points
8th   Zack Gatson      22   0: 00"   140
20th   Alex Levin      22   0: 19"   10

Well, with England (along with several others) partying it up and missing the race, a few cyclists were missing, which helped.  Plus good pure sprinters seem to be uncommon in this generation.

Two seasons ago Gatson (9th) and Levin (17th) scored points in the U21 NT sprint race (exactly the same race as this one).

Of course no guarantee at all that both or one of them can score points again in this U23 NT sprint race, but these results in the past are hopefull and perhaps you could adjust your tactics a little bit because of this info. It seems to me that the team captain has a good lead out if the tactics are succesfull. But it is a sprint race, always difficult too prodict if the chosen tactics will be succesfull, in my opinion/experience.

Good luck, AA, so far your doing awesome this season !  8)
Because Australia u23 is currently on the 3rd place in the ranking by countries.
And that is the highest position Australia U23 ever achieved in CFF history, just happened twice.

8th and 20th ; about the same result as in the U21 NT race of two seasons ago, so probably a good result.
What for sure is good --> points achieved ! And still on the excellent number 3 position in the ranking by countries.  8)

And so far Australia is doing more then great this season ; the elite and the u21 are also on a podiumplace (both 2nd).  8)  8)

I was surprised that we are doing so strongly in all 3 age levels. You guys have done a great job at promoting Australia. Thanks for coming over and keep the great work up :)

Race 6

Selections
Benjamin Wade   Argonautjes   22
Ted Foxxe   Argonautjes   21
Bob Fletcher   CC_Almerimar   21
William Owen   Argonautjes   21
Oscar Hunter   FacHaBortoLo   20
Kieran Hunter   teamsophia   19
Gordon Tweed   TrailRunners   19
Freddie Trump   TrailRunners   19
Clive Lee   TrailRunners   19

Late change.  TrailRunners's Gordon Tweed deserves a race, but an outside chance (unlikely) for a few points with wind bonus means he makes way for James Wind.
James Wind   Team_Klykke   21

Prospects
Somewhere around 12th, & Australia u23 to drop to 5th in rankings.  It just depends on how many 22 year olds of quality there are.  I suspect too many for 21 year old Owen.

Results
Position   Name   Age   Time behind   Points
24th   William Owen      21   0: 41"  0

Ok, too optimistic, I guess there's a few talented 22 year old TTers around.  Sadly, we've plummeted from 3rd to 8th in the u23 national standings.  Four races left to gain a few placings.
