Off to an okay start with the U23 squad, we're at 4th place after the first 2 stages. Last stage, I couldn't get a helper with Coburn in the 4th section, which slowed him down in the final jump. The Suisse team did really well with 2 men on the podium, 4 cyclists in the top 12 of the race.

Today, a similar hill profile is on the table. Let's try and improve with Todd Coburn. He should be able to finish on the podium this time, I'm only worried that the lack of depth in the Australian squad could leave him without domestiques in crunch time again.

Standings U23 after 5 stages

Switzerland is flying. They have a real good core of U23 cyclists this season, and they utilized that in a strong way in both the hill stages (Stage 2 & 3), and they won the sprint stage yesterday as well, plus getting some points from free roles/domestiques.

They have created a real big gap, and I'm not sure if there is any nation that is strong enough to close it. For now, we focus on the battle between the countries behind Switzerland. It's a close call. Currently, we're at 5th place, but anything still seems possible in the race for podium places.

Didn't really expect the win tonight with Oscar Hunter in the Flat Time Trial, as he is only ranked 10th in the U23 Dream Team. But of course, very pleased with that result.

3 other cyclists get in the points as well (13th, 14th, 17th), so it was a good night :)

We climb up to 3rd place in country rankings, 5 points behind the Danes, but still over 500 points behind Switzerland.

Mainly thanks to the great result (6th) in this race of the just 21 yo Foster.
Great season so far, WiC, good luck in the final 3 races.

Yes, I am pretty satisfied with the result. 6th place with a 21 year old cyclist is more than I expected.

Good luck in season 36, Telamon !
This is a very good generation ;
they were 2nd as u21 NT and there are 6 Aussies in the u23 Dream Team and that is a lot for our little CFF country.

Australia u23 scored already 270 points in race 1, the prologue. And now 3rd in the ranking by countries.
But you forget to select the probably best Australian for this race, 22yo Kieran Hunter.
He was 3rd two seasons ago in this prologue and 4 seconds faster than Freddie Trump, who finished again as 4th today.

No worries, can happen, but check the races of 2 seasons ago next time, it can be usefull information.
Have fun and good luck !  :)

Kieren Hunter is on transfer list, so you can see his stats.  His training clearly doesn't appear to have been great.

True, he is not a good time trialist, but for sure he is a good prologue specialist.
