okay, thanks. I changed the percentages and the gv's in the above post. It's difficult to know the strength, when I have never seen the competitors skills. I thought the danes looked really good for this race, but we will see.

So you expect 0 points ?

Last season race 2 was almost identical to this race. Maybe you can get a tip about the tactic. At least what not to do. Last season Sinkbæk was the leader and ended on a 52th spot. Sinkbæk have made some progression from last year + weather bonus. But there will be a tough competition.

The race on sunday is almost a pure/Classic race. If you want a good result the GV should be close to 80.  :)

Race 3

Lets hope we are good enough this time to get some points. The Timidus guys and Kragh looks good.

1°   Jens-Jacob Kragh   22   77,43   Hyperorbitals
2°   Hans Kipp   23   77,39   Jinhua
3°   Max Dalgaard   25   76,98   TeamTimidus
4°   Bo P.Jensen   24   76,84   Jinhua
5°   Ralf Sommer   24   75,26   Juggalos
6°   Ricky Abelstedt   22   75,21   TeamTimidus
7°   Axel Bertolt   22   74,83   TeamTimidus
8°   Theis Støvring   21   73,82   RaboRuben
9°   Ronni Bøgelund   22   73,41   TeamTimidus

Hans Kipp, Ralf Sommer, Ronni Bøgelund.
Do you think a weather symbol for Kipp is enough to make him captain ? My guess is that I should try him as leader and Kragh as free role.

I do not think Johny Johansen would have the chance to get points in this sprint, so decided to go with a 22 yo instead.

I have already made the tactics, but if you have any tricks for this race, that is proven that it is working let me know.

I would still have selected JJ, seing as he got 10th in a short NT sprint last year - but maybe ask his coach what he's training?

And YES, the weather symbol seems to be very important (according to my minor research up to 2 GV points actually), so make Kipp the captain (if not JJ  ;)).

The problem is that he only is fifth in GV, and if he is selected I have no idea who to remove. I'm very surprised that Johny should be good enough for #10 last season, when we have riders that looks better younger.

modified my percentages now, and Johny Johansen is selected instead of Bogelund. I guess flat needs to be more if he is getting any points, so i added a little bit more flat, and sprint down a bit.

It gives us this:
Johny Johansen - 77,73
Jens-Jacob Kragh - 76,79
Hans Kipp - 76,79
Bo P.Jensen - 76,56
Max Dalgaard - 76,30
Ralf Sommer - 74,86
Ricky Abelstedt - 74,53
Axel Bertolt - 73,95
Theis Støvring - 73,06

Still goes with Hans Kipp for captain, because of his sun symbol. Kragh and Johny Johansen free role. Lets hope you are right with Johny. I took away Ronni Bogelund that had a sun symbol too. Didn't know who to remove, and Bogelund seemed like the weakest (even with symbol ?).

Percentages I used first:
Stamina 8%
Sprint 44%
flat 21%
technique 10%
agg 10%
team 7%

And the modified for Johny with more flat:
Stamina 8%
Sprint 40%
flat 25%
technique 10%
agg 10%
team 7%

Flat is important indeed. I think your percentages is better in the second version than the first.

Personally I would have removed Bertolt (only because of Bøgelunds weather bonus), but I'm sure Timidus can live with the non-selection of Bøgelund  ;)

seems like you are having some trouble selecting only 9 riders ;D I guess that's better than struggling finding just 1 or 2 that can compete in the race :)

I agree Bøgelund will have a better GV if you take the weather symbol into account, but since my main focus in the team is Bertolt, I'm more than pleased, that he's currently the chosen of the two :-)

We got a good result. 3 riders in top 20. Kipp  8)

7    Hans Kipp      23   a hours 0 minutes 0 seconds    150      Jinhua
18    Ralf Sommer      24   a hours 0 minutes 0 seconds    30      Juggalos
20    Johny Johansen      25   a hours 0 minutes 0 seconds    10      skunk

-
29    Max Dalgaard      25   a hours 0 minutes 0 seconds    0      TeamTimidus
85    Jens-Jacob Kragh      22   a hours 0 minutes 52 seconds    0      Hyperorbitals
91    Bo P.Jensen      24   a hours 0 minutes 52 seconds    0      Jinhua
100    Theis Støvring      21   a hours 0 minutes 52 seconds    0      RaboRuben
102    Axel Bertolt      22   a hours 0 minutes 52 seconds    0      TeamTimidus
110    Ricky Abelstedt      22   a hours 0 minutes 52 seconds    0      TeamTimidus

I'm surprised how bad Kragh was. Max Dalgaard was close to top 20 and Johny Johansen.

Next race:

Söderström ;)  ;)  ;) ::)

This must be the 10th time I ask for the tacitc....  ???
I know this is only a sprint stage. It would be nice to know what effort they spend on the 1st and 4th section?
If I dont know the tactic the race will be without relevance to me!

This sprint stage is pretty similar to the standard GV DK coaches uses for the sprint! So JJ wouldn't be the best choice for a captain role.
Flat had an very important role on those short stages last season. Flat close to 30% : sprint not that much as we are used to less than 40%. This scenario was a very perfect fit to JJ!
Will the flat % decline the longer the stage are. I think so. It tends to lower at distances: 100 - 200 km. How low will it be at a 250 km very low i guess  ;)
Why did Kragh fail? He needed more effort bonus on the first section. Because of his relativ low flat compared to the older/better riders. If he rode the tactic 31035 i will be very suprised.

I'd say 12 efforts is way too much for a sprint race, I tend to prefer something like 20115 at most!

I disagree, Solex (surprise!) - Osca has said that the length of the flat influence the percentage like this: more flat = higher percentage.

That would in my book mean that longer distance sprint races will increase the value of flat. But let's see what happens sunday in U21 ;)
